The story of Krishna is one that has been told to me and my siblings since we were much younger. His playfulness as a child, his ability to surpass the evil of Kamsa, and his incredible power to defeat those who bring harm are all admirable features of our beloved Govinda. The story of how Kamsa tried to kill Krishna is one of most importance, as is when the villagers and Yashoda come to realize that he is no ordinary child. Krishna is a unique character in that he displays child-like qualities, but still serves to fulfill his destiny under his incarnation of Vishnu.

There are several stories from Krishna that can be retold, recrafted, or even developed for specificities as a new story. In each story there are only ever 3-4 characters with Krishna as the center of the plot, of course. Each character is surprised of his antics, but are sympathetic nonetheless. Krishna portrays a godly figure and emanates these characteristics through his actions. This is something to really emphasize in the stories. Radha and Krishna are another story, but when she comes into the story it is incredible how she portrays herself. Each woman heard of thus far is devoted to her beloved God. But here is where the difference lies: Radha is worshipped by Krishna. He understands her power and respects her nonetheless. This is why Krishna in this form is so admirable. He respects Radha (and Rukmini) and never takes their devotion and love for granted.

The stories of Krishna are so incredible that it simply brings me joy to write and hear of him. There is so much love and protection in his stories that it simply keeps us in awe at his power as Vishnu. The Epified channel does a wonderful job of summing up his stories and emphasizing these qualities.
